Rhonda's French Toast
6 slices of Farmer's bread (1" thick)
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. sugar
4 eggs
1/4 cup milk
1 stick of butter
Lay out the bread slices the night before and allow them to go stale. Mix together the eggs, milk, sugar and cinnamon with a wire whisk.
Heat a non-stick skillet over medium high and rub the end of the butter around the pan for a thin coating. Dip a slice of bread into the egg mixture and coat both sides. Place the bread into the hot skillet for 2-3 minutes on each side, or until golden brown. Serve with honey, butter, syrup (my favorite is Karo), powdered sugar, jelly or fruit.
